The Peng Lab at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht is excited to announce an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher. We are committed to groundbreaking research in pediatric liver cancer and diseases and are seeking an individual who shares our dedication to this cause. We are eager to welcome a new member to our team, where your work will have a significant impact on pediatric liver cancer research and diseases.

Job description

Research focus

We welcome applications from researchers with a passion for pediatric liver tumors, including hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), as well as rare metabolic liver diseases in children. Our aim is to understand the molecular profiles of these diseases and to create innovative therapeutic strategies based on these insights.

Innovative Techniques and Collaborative Environment

As a member of our team, you will utilize advanced methodologies such as single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, high-throughput screening, RNA therapy, and antibody engineering. Organoid and mouse models will be used to further our understanding of these treatment modalities. Collaborations with the Single Cell Genomics Facility, Protein and Antibody Facility, High Throughput Screening Facility, and Big Data Core are key to our research, providing a stimulating environment for scientific discovery and progress. Our extensive collaborations both within the Utrecht Science Park and with international institutions foster a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment. We will align the specific research focus with the postdoctoral researcher’s interests and areas of expertise to ensure a rewarding and mutually beneficial experience.
