Job description

Do you want to be at the forefront of creating a seamless and accessible educational journey for international student admissions for English-taught programs? And do you have a service-oriented mindset and attention to detail? Join the Nijmegen School of Management as International Admissions Officer!

As an international admissions officer, you will be responsible for the full admission process of the English-taught Bachelor's, Master's and joint programmes of the Nijmegen School of Management, as well as engaging with prospective students. You will be the first point of contact for the programmes, as well as for the students, when it comes to the admission and application processes. Furthermore you will liaise between the Nijmegen School of Management and other central departments of Radboud University such as the Student Admissions Office,  Central Student Administration Office and Student Information Desk.
  
Your tasks will include  being responsible for the implementation and evaluation of the international application and admission processes for the Nijmegen School of Management’s English-taught programmes; taking Admissions decisions (where possible) or processing decisions that have been made by the admissions boards; advising on the admission of international students to the Dutch-taught programmes if required; being responsible for the implementation of the enrolment process; and answering questions from students who are interested, or have applied for, one of the many programmes of the Nijmegen School of Management, either by email or telephone. These questions are mostly related to admission criteria, the application procedure, studying in the Netherlands or Nijmegen, the costs of studying, and scholarships. You will also ensure that the information on the admission pages of the programme websites is up to date and communicate the application figures to programme coordinators and management. You will be replacing our current admissions officer, who will be on maternity leave.

Requirements

  • You have completed a relevant qualification at a university of applied sciences.
  • You are service-oriented, enjoy working in a team and have affinity and experience with advising, organising and administration.
  • You are able to communicate formally when it comes to official decisions, but can also easily switch to an appealing way of communicating with potential new students. You are clear but compassionate towards rejected applicants.
  • You possess a high proficiency in English (B2 level or higher). Near-native proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
  • You have integrity, are inquisitive, analytical and work accurately.
  • You have an eye for detail. You look for improvement and efficiency improvements.
  • You possess proven time and project management skills.
  • You have experience with, and knowledge of admission processes, ICT applications in Higher Education and OSIRIS.
  • You have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: It concerns a replacement for a maternity leave from 1 March until 15 October.

  • It concerns an employment for 0.8 FTE.
  • The gross monthly salary amounts to a minimum of €3,377 and a maximum of €4,640 based on a 38-hour working week, depending on previous education and number of years of relevant work experience (salary scale 9). A preliminary salary scale 8 (a minimum of €3,072 and a maximum of €4,103) can be applicable (salary scale 8).
  • You will receive 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
  • It concerns a replacement for a maternity leave from 1 March until 15 October.
  • You will be able to use our Dual Career and Family Care Services. Our Dual Career and Family Care Officer can assist you with family-related support, help your partner or spouse prepare for the local labour market, provide customized support in their search for employment and help your family settle in Nijmegen.
  • Working for us means getting extra days off. In case of full-time employment, you can choose between 30 or 41 days of annual leave instead of the legally allotted 20.

The Department of Internationalisation, Communication and External Relations (ICR) is concerned with the strategic objectives of the Nijmegen School of Management in the areas of internationalisation, communication and external relations. ICR has a policy preparation and advisory role but is also explicitly involved in policy implementation.
