As Academic coordinator Entrepreneurship Education you will play an important role in bringing about this transition. The team Entrepreneurship is the center of entrepreneurship of WUR, part of the Value Creation Department. Combining the incubator StartHub Wageningen for ‘starting up people’, with the strategy and ambition to reach as many students and researchers possible. Building on entrepreneurial skills and mindset. Together with colleagues from Knowledge Transfer Office, Shared Research Facilities, University Fund Wageningen, and various chair groups you develop a long-term strategy for initiating, supporting and offering entrepreneurship (education) across campus.

Your role
As academic coordinator entrepreneurship education you will work on a highly diverse set of tasks. It involves developing education, coordinating as a course/track coordinator, and also providing academic supervision for internships and theses. The track accommodates around 35 students per year.
  • The role involves embedding entrepreneurship education by inspiring course coordinators and incorporating entrepreneurship and innovation modules in all BSc (20), MSc (45), and PhD programs;
  • Initiatives include fostering a dialogue about entrepreneurship education with policymakers (ESA) and program coordinators at WU, executing education development projects, and coordinating entrepreneurship learning with the Advisory Board;
  • The focus extends to embedding the "entrepreneurial mindset" with KTO, overseeing the Master track Entrepreneurship, the curricular entrepreneurship education offer, and the BSc skills trajectory on Entrepreneurial Skills.
  • Support responsibilities encompass continuous development of the StartHub extracurricular entrepreneurial development program, managing the student office, and coaching student teams;
  • In research and projects, the role involves acquiring and implementing cutting-edge entrepreneurship education projects, steering relevant research orientation in collaboration with BMO, ELS, and KTI, and establishing a community of practice with WUR partners;
  • Active participation in national and international entrepreneurship education networks, such as O2Lab, EEN, and collaboration with 4TU, EWUU alliance, ICA-edu, and LIFE, further expands the network.

Requirements

  • At least a Master degree or higher in a relevant field (like entrepreneurship, sustainable entrepreneurship, learning for entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education);
  • Experience with teaching and/or training in the field of entrepreneurship;
  • You have experience in managing and coordinating projects. You’re able to translate complex scientific content to impact driven narratives;
  • Ambition, enthusiasm with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a result driven attitude;
  • You have working professional level of Dutch;
  • You have an affinity with building and maintaining relevant networks.

We are seeking an individual well-versed in entrepreneurship education within higher education, with a focus on fostering opportunities for its expansion. Key competencies include personal leadership, effective teaching and coaching skills, organizational sensitivity, persuasive abilities, and strong planning and organizing capabilities. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives to enhance entrepreneurship education in a dynamic academic setting.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary ofof between € 5.247 and € 6.737 for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 12). Additionally, a contract for 0,8 FTE can be discussed.
