The Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL) covers all major areas of cancer research and has special interest in adoptive cell therapies using gene-modified T cells, requiring close collaboration between clinical and basic scientists.

Job description

Neoadjuvant immunotherapy has become a novel approach in several cancers with unparalleled outcomes. This is also true for melanoma, where about 70-80% of patients benefit from these therapies. For the remaining patients our group is hard working on baseline biomarker identification, understanding mechanisms of resistance and identifying novel treatment combinations. These are tested in preclinical models before going into the patient.
