Job description

The Science Department IQ Health at Radboudumc is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a postdoctoral researcher in early Health Technology Assessment (HTA). This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with innovators and clinicians, and to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of healthcare evaluation and decision-making. Are you interested in evaluating healthcare innovations alongside their development, to optimize their value for patients and society? This is the job for you!

As a postdoctoral researcher you will work closely with our team of researchers to conduct early HTAs. The primary focus will be on evaluating a new promising immunotherapy for ovarian cancer patients. This involves a health economic modeling study, an interview study and a cost analysis. With these analyses you will help the innovator and clinicians to make better decisions on further development and research. Furthermore you will collaborate in other projects and/or teaching, depending on your interests. You will contribute to important transitions at the interface between healthcare and policy making.

You will be working in a motivated, interdisciplinary team, within the Health Systems & Health Technology Assessment (HeSHTA) group of the Science Department IQ Health. At HeSHTA we support society in making informed decisions at micro (e.g. patients, health professionals), meso (e.g. hospitals) and macro level (e.g. ministries of health, payers), in order to promote an equitable, (fiscally) sustainable, and high-quality health system. We do this by providing first-class quality education, research and consultancy. You will also work closely with the departments of Laboratory Medicine and Gynecology.

Tasks and responsibilities
As a postdoc:
  • You will explore the value of a new promising immunotherapy for ovarian cancer patients, by means of health economic modeling, performing interviews and performing a cost analysis.
  • You will analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, and present your findings in (scientific) publications as well as on conferences and/or symposia.
  • You work in an interdisciplinary team of researchers from different fields to inform decisions on development and research.
  • You expand your network by working together with (inter)national research groups.
  • You can, if interested, contribute to teaching activities for (bio)medical students, and other relevant research projects of the group.
