Job description
The central Admissions Office of Erasmus University, which handles applications from students with a non-Dutch diploma who wish to study at Erasmus University, is looking for a new team member. The team, which is part of the International Office, determines the admissibility for Bachelor and PhD applications, and provides credential evaluation for Master's applications.
Job description
As Admissions Officer, you will process hundreds of applications every semester. From Fall to Spring, when applications are open, applications are coming in each day. Each morning, you will log in to our student information system Osiris, to check the applications that came in, and discuss with your four fellow Admission Officers who will be focusing on what that day. You will verify the admissibility of the applicants to our Bachelor programmes and process these applications in Osiris. From Spring to Summer, you will meet many students face-to-face, when they drop by to hand in their diplomas, which you will check on authenticity. Year-round, you will also check the documents of PhD candidates on admissibility and authenticity. Next to evaluating requests for admission, you will answer questions by applicants, prospective students and colleagues by mail, WhatsApp and in person. You will also meet regularly with colleagues at our faculties, the Schools of Erasmus University Rotterdam, to ensure a smooth application cycle. When needed, you will assist other teams within the International Office, for example in representing the International Office during the Bachelor Open Day and during Orientation events. Hybrid working is possible and common in this team. Many colleagues choose to work on campus for 2 to 3 days a week and enjoy having lunch together when they’re in the office. There are many opportunities for personal development and for social interaction, for example during team days, trainings, dinners, and outings.
