The Business Consultants team at Rotterdam School of Management BV, Erasmus University (RSM) is the primary innovation partner within the commercial and privately funded part of RSM where we deliver post-experience education (MBA, open enrolment and company programmes). The team supports the operations, sales and (educational) programme delivery clusters with business optimisation, process improvement and digitalisation projects. The Business Consultants team is looking for a senior Business Consultant.

Your main tasks:

• Work with RSM business departments to articulate demand for innovation and optimisation projects and help make business cases for these projects.
• Identify the right solutions for these needs – which can vary from providing advice, doing process reviews, applying small changes by yourself to managing software implementation projects.
• Determine and involve the necessary specialists and / or immerse yourself in the matter at hand.
• Bridge and organise business and IT to successfully implement solutions.
• Go the extra mile in ensuring RSM is successful in these initiatives, both in the short term (project delivery) and the long term (optimising business value of these innovations).
• Prepare the roadmap and align with the business owners on the priorities.
• Ensure a transparent process and approach for projects.
• Guide and functionally manage the two other Business Consultants in the team.
• Determine team development opportunities and organise these.

You will be considered for this position if you have:

• A relevant qualification at least at bachelor level in business informatics, business administration, information management or similar.
• Experience in project management, solution implementations and change management.
• Knowledge of information management organisation and procedures (BiSL).
• Business insights and IT affinity; you understand business management challenges and provide solutions from a multidisciplinary viewpoint.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage and facilitate groups.
• A commercial mindset and an intrinsic drive to help improve the organisation and your colleagues through continuous feedback cycles.

Preferably you also have:

• Knowledge of higher education and strong process optimisation skills (such as Lean).
• Experience with process-, information- and IT-architecture.
• Experience with multiple IT-platforms (though Microsoft knowledge is a plus).
• Experience with IT demand management (including designing and managing SLAs).
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language (CEFR C1).
