The RSM Corporate and Alumni Relations Team is looking for an ambitious student-assistant who can join our team for a minimum of 2 days per week.

The RSM Corporate and Alumni Relations Team is looking for an ambitious student-assistant who can join our team for a minimum of 2 days per week. We are looking for RSM students either in their 3rd year Bachelor's phase, who intend to pursue their Master's at EUR, or current Master’s students. Exact start date is negotiable and working days and hours can be flexible, but need to be at least 16 hours a week. Your contract would initially be for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Job description
You will work primarily with the team of Alumni Relations Managers, responsible for various alumni engagement initiatives, such as RSM international communities, alumni awards, mentoring platform, executing events and coordinating alumni involvement with academic programmes. This job is a combination of communication tasks and project management related work. You might be asked to occasionally support alumni events and data related tasks.

Some concrete examples of your work include (but are not limited to):
  • Support communication of alumni events and initiatives, for example via email campaigns in our CRM or social media outreach
  • Work with content management and event management systems to prepare event promotion and registrations
  • Support project management and execution of various alumni engagement programmes, for example RSM Distinguished Alumni Awards
  • Manage the incoming requests from alumni
  • Conduct strategic research and benchmarking projects

Requirements

Most of all, we expect you to be professional: you will be interacting with alumni, over email and/or phone, but also in person during events. Next to that, you are very organised, you have an eye for detail and you have a very hands-on approach to work. We expect you to be able to work very independently and take responsibility for your work. Some requirements include:
  • You are a true ambassador of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University
  • 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor student or pre-master and you will continue your master at RSM or Master student who will graduate at the end of 2024
  • Able to work independently, pro-active and can show initiative
  • You have a high degree of customer orientation and are able to communicate professionally with different audiences (students, alumni, professors etc)
  • You have an eye for detail
  • Flexible attitude towards work hours and assignments (this job includes occasionally working evening and weekends)
  • Experience with online/database systems, IT processes, excel, and social media platforms is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, Dutch preferred but not required
  • You are available to work from our office on campus (we have good coffee!)
  • You are reliable and consistently produce quality work
