Job description

Our research is focused on the mechanisms that maintain the integrity of our genome, which is crucial to prevent genetic diseases such as cancer. We are very much interested in processes that promote faithful replication of our genetic material and pathways that repair damage in our DNA. To study these mechanisms, we use a powerful biochemical system based on extracts of the eggs of the Xenopus laevis frog. This system allows us to identify novel genome maintenance pathways and study their molecular mechanisms in detail. The technician will support our group in making these egg extracts but will also take active part in our research. Therefore, we look for an organized and collaborative person that enjoys working in an ambitious environment.
