Job description
Come join us for a period of 6 months as our assistant programme manager. You’ll work in the Exchange Office at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) in a group which is working to restructure processes and working arrangements. We appreciate your flexibility and that you enjoy actively thinking about new ways of working.

Even though your duties may change along the way as a result of the restructuring, your main tasks include the following:
  • Contribute to the preparation (screening application, reading motivation letters) and execution and interviews of the entire selection procedure for participation in the BSc and MSc exchange programmes.
  • Assist with the selection and nomination of exchange students and with the registration of courses of both RSM and European Common Online Learning (ECOL) partner students. Plus, monitor the processes of study progress of both groups.
  • Contribute to the distribution of information for and communication with actual and potential master exchange students by producing informative flyers – including a step-by-step plan – and by giving information sessions prior to the students’ exchange.
  • Online Exchange Study Plan trajectory outgoing BSc and MSc students online.
  • Support bachelor and master exchange programme
    • Maintain various mailboxes
    • Guide prospect/incoming/outgoing students
    • Actively maintain Canvas and the Exchange Office website
    • Contribute to information sessions
    • Support the registration process for incoming students.
  • Support preparation activities for incoming and outgoing exchange students.
  • Programme management for ECOL online exchange programme
    • Help select and nominate students
    • Register courses of both RSM and ECOL partner students.
    • Monitor processes of study progress for both groups.

Requirements

This is what we require from you:
  • Bachelor degree
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Relevant work experience in higher education is an advantage
  • Minimum three year's experience in the role of assistant programme manager is an advantage
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (level C1)
  • Team player
  • Client-friendly attitude towards students, teachers and international colleagues
  • Internationally oriented
  • Diligent, flexible and focused when it comes to the continuous improvement of work processes

Conditions of employment

This is a temporary position for a period of 6 months to replace a colleague with a leave of absence. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). The feature is rated on a maximum scale of 08. The salary is partly based on education and experience, which means that a starting scale (scale 08) may apply. The salary can therefore vary from €3,072.00 to €4,103.00 gross per month for full-time employment.

Department

RSM's Exchange Office team facilitates the bachelor and master exchange programmes for incoming and outgoing students. The team assists and advises students before, during and after their exchange in Rotterdam or abroad. This team is part of the Education Services Student Affairs cluster, which also includes the RSM Admissions & Orientation, Career Center and Student Support teams.
