At the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, we contribute to large scale challenges in sustainable aviation and we are looking for an energetic Program Manager with technical background who is able to get things done. Ideally, you are well experienced in the administrative and reporting requirements of complex, mixed finance projects, ensuring that researchers find the best project environment to excel. You are someone who can manage multiple projects at the same time and who is not afraid of taking decisions. You have an affinity for managing large multi-year research and development projects.
As a professional, you’re proactive, driven, result oriented and you know how to prioritise. You are open-minded, enthusiastic, creative and result-oriented. You are a good listener and able to translate the technological project plan into a SMART project plan and align internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and you can easily switch between different tasks within projects. You are at ease working within a multinational and gender balanced team.
Your Responsibilities
You support planning and coordination of our large scale programs and its activities. You ensure the implementation of applicable policies and practices. You maintain the corresponding budgets and you track expenditures/transactions with the associated principal investigators. You collect and synthesize input for project deliverables (scientific publications and updates from partners, financial status, plans) and create comprehensive drafts.You efffectively manage communications through media relations, social media etc. Importantly, you also help build positive relations within the team and external parties. In the operational context you schedule and organize consortia meetings/events and maintain the agenda, you also make sure digital communication and archiving technology (eg teams) is used effectively and you keep updated records and create reports or proposals to support the development of the program.
Your clear way of communicating harmonizes the interaction with internal stakeholders of TU Delft, project office, finance, researchers and principal investigators, as much as external stakeholders; governing bodies, national and international players in aviation.
Finally, you also participate in new program acquisition in the interest of TU Delft.
