As the newest lecturer in the department of strategic management and entrepreneurship at
Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), you are an enthusiastic teacher who inspires students to make a positive impact on both business and society.
Job description As lecturer or junior lecturer of
MSc Strategic Management in RSM’s department of strategic management and entrepreneurship, you contribute to various programmes offered by the school. For instance, in the BSc International Business Administration, the department’s own programmes MSc Strategic Management or MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship, or in the BSc Bedrijfskunde Dutch language programme. You understand that this role requires frequent physical presence on RSM’s Woudestein campus and you enjoy delivering high-quality instruction and engaging with students.
Depending on your profile and seniority, your tasks may focus more on supporting core staff of existing courses through the delivery of high-quality interactive workshop sessions, or on the coordination, development and delivery of your own courses. In any case, you coach and support MSc students while they develop research questions, methodology, data analysis and other aspects of the thesis process as they work toward delivering their MSc theses. Your focus lies primarily on the support of strategy related courses, but you can also support the entrepreneurship courses when needed.
Your full portfolio of teaching duties is rounded out with other activities such as coaching BSc internships, assisting in the grading of various courses at the BSc or MSc level, or coordinating student assistants. Where possible, these activities align with your research interests, expertise and/or background. For example, there may be opportunities to develop courses in the elective space of our BSc and MSc programmes.
