As the Junior Marketing & Student Affairs Officer within the Professional Services department of IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam, you will contribute to communicating about the IHS brand and expertise to our target audiences, help to recruit participants from all over the world for the educational programmes offered at IHS and support our students and educational programmes. You will be involved in the whole student journey, from student recruitment to graduation and beyond! You will be a part of the Professional Services department of IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam and report to the Head of Professional Services.  

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are to support:

• marketing and recruitment activities including communication with prospective students, (recruitment) event planning and representation
• content production, social media publishing, and website management
• education, admissions and student affairs related activities
• the implementation of alumni activities

Requirements

To be able to perform and deliver in this position, you have:

• Completed an education in communications, marketing or in a related field or you have comparable work experience
• Excellent communication and software skills (MS Office)
• Excellent English language skills (in writing and speech)
• A highly organized way of working/ be able to work with deadlines
• A proactive and independent working style
• An interest in working in an international environment
• A Dutch residence permit or be an EU citizen (essential)
• Relevant experience in marketing, communications and/ or education support is an asset, but not a must

Conditions of Employment

We offer a challenging job in an international and dynamic work environment. The salary is in accordance with the job's responsibilities, is subject to training and experience, and corresponds to Scale 7 CAO NU (€2.693 – €3.636 gross per month for full-time employment). IHS has attractive employment conditions, which include a holiday allowance of 8.0%, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 30 annual vacation days in case of a full work week. The Junior Marketing & Student Affairs Officer will report to the Head of Professional Services.
