The Open University is a partner in the Horizon 2020 research project PREMIERE. Under the guidance of the academic staff, the candidate will contribute to the design and development of an online Serious Game as part of the PREMIERE project. The game will consist of playing out different story sequences relevant to the multi-actor proposal development process. The overarching aim of the game is to develop actors' transversal capacities by placing them in simulated situations where they can play out different paths through which they can experience the consequences of their choices.
These storylines will be structured around (a) real-world experiences and (b) findings related to the evaluation and selection practices of multi-actor proposals. Users can play out different storylines from different perspectives, e.g. as project coordinator, junior project partner or WP leader. These trajectories are then updated based on experiences gained during beta testing of the game.
The candidate has experience in designing serious games and has an educational background in game design and/or related fields (an HBO, bachelor or master's degree). The candidate has worked in international project contexts and has a good command of the English language in written and spoken communication. Ideally, the candidate already has some experience in contributing to European research projects and working with international consortium partners.
