Job description

This position is part of the Dutch research project RELEASE (Reversible Large Scale Energy Storage). RELEASE aims to create fundamental scientific insights and to develop, implement and demonstrate technological solutions that are critical for reducing the cost of large-scale energy storage systems, based on electrochemical conversion of electricity into molecules, for the short (2030) as well as for the long term (2050). This position is part of the research line System Integration and Fair Governance.  Your work will aim to identify and analyse socio-technical requirements and trade-offs for large scale deployment of energy storage technologies in the Netherlands. Your research will act as a bridge across the different research lines in the project and will synthesise insights at system level. Furthermore, you will support the coordination of activities within the research line. You will be part of the research group lead by prof Andrea Ramirez on industrial defossilization. The group is part of the Process System Engineering section (department of Chemical Engineering) at TU Delft.
