Then you could be the Research Community Manager we are looking for, to continue supporting co-operation and excellence across RSM’s research community.
The Research Community Manager will activate and connect the RSM researchers (offline and online) with the overall objective to inform strategic decision-making and investments, and to lead change initiatives.
In this role, you will liaise with the individual researchers and research groups, formulate communities around research themes and epistemic traditions, identify opportunities for synergies across the communities, and organise or facilitate interactions across interested groups (offline and online). Through your efforts, the researchers feel connected to the internal informal networks and supported towards realising their shared ambitions, for example in the area of research infrastructure.
Thanks to your proactive and open-minded attitude you know current and emerging trends as well as the needs within the RSM research community, and you bring that knowledge forward to inform strategic decision-making and investment decisions.
In practice, this role means that you:
- are responsible for connecting and activating the members of the RSM research community and of the diverse epistemic communities of the school
- identify community needs and translate these into concrete advice for the RSM Research management
- ensure matchmaking (connections) among members of the community with similar or complementary interests and needs, as a means to strengthen the community
- are responsible for creating and maintaining a structured needs’ articulation process on areas such as research infrastructure (also in the context of the Administrative Agreement – Bestuursakkoord)
- You will report to the Executive Director of ERIM.
Job description As Research Community Manager, you will be expected to:
- mobilise RSM’s researchers to connect in internal informal networks and communities
- facilitate community engagement activities, both offline (events and sandpits around certain topics) and online
- summarise and clearly present informative deriving from community interactions and discussions and formulate evidence-based advice for strategic and tactical decision-making
- connect and collaborate with key internal professional services departments, such as communications and the ERIM office, as required.
