You are well-versed in Finance & Control and with your sharp business acumen, you are also adept in project management. Is it Lean? Is it Prince2? Or do you get excited about critical paths? It doesn't matter how; as long as you flawlessly know how to manage a project. And also how to stay on top of the finances of our institute. And manage the financial administration. And how to effectively and humorously manage a team. And how to provide good advice to the collegial board. And how to fulfill this amazing multifaceted role with pleasure. Institute of Biology Leiden is NOT boring!

Key responsibilities

This multifaceted role fits perfectly with IBL, and hopefully with you too. IBL colleagues are typically characterized by enthusiasm, curiosity, and a hands-on approach. As Head of Finance & Projects, you report directly to the Director of Operations, one of the 3 members of the Collegial Board of IBL. You also directly supervise a team of about six people who provide professional support in areas such as project management, subsidy applications, project control, and building management.
