At the Section of Space Systems Engineering, we are educating Aerospace Bachelor and Master students to become responsible capable, and innovative engineers and leaders of the future. To this end, the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering maintains and develops state-of-the-art Bachelor and Master programs of Aerospace Engineering. Ranging from large classes of students to small project teams, various educational formats are applied to align learning objectives, methods and evaluation. These include advanced environments such as the Concurrent Design Laboratory to allow interdisciplinary design for complex projects.

In this environment, you will support educational activities such as teaching and evaluation predominantly in the Bachelor program. You can also be involved in the multi-faculty, multi-university Minor program "Space Missions". You will help to organise educational activities and communicate to students. You will closely work with other scientific staff, involved in education. If relevant, you can follow modules of the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) program.

Your home base will be the internationally diverse team of, more than 20 academic staff and PhD students in the section of Space Engineering Systems. We share an ambition to be the best in the world of miniaturised and distributed space systems. State-of-the-art research facilities, including a cleanroom, a laser communication lab and our brand new Guidance, Navigation and Control lab, all allowing usage for educational purposes, are available. Fostering an open and friendly culture, we encourage easy and straight forward communication. You will get all the support you need to execute your tasks.

• You have a MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• You are motivated to contribute to education of Bachelor and Master students.
• You have the capability to contribute to high-quality teaching.
• You have a good command of spoken and written English, as you’ll be working in an internationally diverse community.

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The TU Delft offers a customisable compensation package, discounts on health insurance, and a monthly work costs contribution. Flexible work schedules can be arranged.

The contract duration can potentially be extended by 12 months.

Inspiring, excellent education is our central aim. We expect you to obtain a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) within three years if you have less than five years of teaching experience. This is provided by the TU Delft UTQ programme.

TU Delft sets high standards for the English competency of the teaching staff. The TU Delft offers training to improve English competency. If you do not speak Dutch, we offer courses to learn the Dutch language.

Faculty Aerospace Engineering

The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology is one of the world’s most highly ranked (and most comprehensive) research, education and innovation communities devoted entirely to aerospace engineering.
