Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious experimental biologist to join our research team in the Department of Molecular Biology of the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS), Faculty of Science (Radboud University, Nijmegen, Netherlands). Our ambitious and world-renowned research team of professionals studies gene regulatory networks in mouse small intestinal organoids

You will be employed as part of the NWO Gravitation Programme ‘Cancer Genomics Netherlands’ (www.cancergenomics.nl) and participate in a dedicated team of molecular and cell biologists and bioinformaticians. You will actively participate in projects that combine molecular biology, single cell transcriptomics, proteomics and CRISPR screens to define the intricate regulatory circuitry that defines the plasticity of mouse small intestinal epithelium. You will also have the opportunity to develop novel ideas and work on additional independent projects that align with our research interests.

Requirements

- a PhD in molecular or cellular biology, molecular life sciences or a related field;
- experience in the generation and analysis of proteomics and/or next-generation sequencing approaches (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNA-seq, etc.);
- excellent communication skills in written and spoken English;
- strong analytical skills, and a problem-solving and an result-oriented attitude;
- the ability to work and interact with others in an energetic and supportive research group.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

Our group offers a first-class, international environment for research in the regulation of gene expression and epigenetics using state-of-the-art genomic and proteomic technologies and bioinformatics. Our research focuses on stem cells, nuclear pathways in cancer, epigenetics aspects of haematopoiesis and proteomics of chromatin. We run next-generation sequencers, single cell equipment, and two nLC-MS/MS mass spectrometers, and we accommodate a bioinformatics team and a local computational infrastructure.
