Job description

The remarkable mechanical properties of biological gels, such as strain stiffening, originate in their molecular architecture: cross-linked networks of semi flexible fibers. In this project we mimic this architecture with synthetic self-assembling molecules.
Your task will be to develop the next generation of synthetic strain stiffening materials, with completely tuneable mechanical properties
and a built-in response to external triggers such as a heat or light. Previous work: DOI: 10.1002/anie.201704046
