Job description

You are an enthusiastic, skilful and stimulating lecturer as well as a coach in working groups and computer practicals. Your primary task lies in lecturing research methodology for students in both social sciences and life sciences at Wageningen University. Your main responsibility is to contribute to the teaching and examining of existing courses in research methodology at bachelor's, master's and PhD levels in a highly internationalised context. You are expected to contribute to the course evaluation, and to the improvement and/or renewal of courses, in collaboration with colleagues within Biometris.

Requirements

The ideal candidate
  • has completed a PhD and published on the design, data collection, and/or data analysis of empirical scientific research with a quantitative or mixed methods bent
  • has a broad knowledge of research methodology, both quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques
  • is an enthusiastic lecturer, who likes to teach research methodology to (international) students in a broad range of disciplines
  • is a team-player who appreciates an international working and learning environment
  • has good communication skills, both with students and colleagues.
  • is fluent in English and Dutch or willing to learn the Dutch language.

Conditions of employment

This is a part time position (0.8 FTE), lecturer scale 3, Hayscale. The gross salary ranges from € 3.427,- to € 4.691,- (Scale 11 VSNU) based on full time, i.e. 38 hours/week, depending on qualities and experience.
