We invite applicants for a postdoctoral research position to further develop hybrid silica solvent nano filtration membranes, which are fabricated via sol-gel methods. The main goal of this project is the chemical modification of existing sols, gels and membranes, allowing them to be used in the new and very interesting application field. These new developments will open a broad application landscape for this class of hybrid ceramic membranes and lead to more simple preparation technologies. To achieve this, an exceptional approach is used in which we can tune the pore size and affinity of the hybrid silica network, based on bridged silsesquioxanes.
Are you ready to contribute to developing a new generation of membrane technology?
Challenge
As a researcher of the Inorganic Membrane group:
Are you up for the challenge to change the world with your research how to design new less energy-consuming separation methods?
For further information, you can contact Dr. Ing. Mieke Luiten-Olieman (m.w.j.luiten@utwente.nl). Candidates are invited to upload their application at the UT web address, including a short motivation letter, references (at least 3) and CV (including obtained degrees and publications, if any) to the application button below.
You will be appointed for one year within a very stimulating scientific environment. The university offers a dynamic ecosystem with enthusiastic colleagues.
