General information
Education and Student Affairs (ESA) is the central service for prospective students and those already enrolled at Eindhoven University of Technology. It provides a broad range of services, including student enrollment, help choosing the right study program, various types of training (e.g. study skills), and the execution of ICT programs for education (e.g. video lectures and the notebook project). ESA also provides language training in Academic English and Dutch as a second language (NT2), language support, as well as Intercultural Communication. Moreover, ESA offers individual coaching for students with personal problems, advice to students wanting to study abroad, student financial support, and mediation regarding grants and scholarships.
In addition to the above, ESA is actively involved with university policy. For example, ESA supports the Executive Board and the departments on matters of student policy, educational legislation and regulations, quality care, accreditation, educational innovation, and internationalization, by generating administrative index numbers among other things. ESA sets great store in quality. Due to the changing and individual needs of students and the educational field, ESA continually strives to improve and actively monitors this.
Student Facilities is part of ESA and consists of four teams: Student Coaching, Counseling & Information, TU/e Language Center, Career Center & Professional Skills and the Planning & Support Center.
Het TU/e Language Center (TLC) offers courses in the fields of English and Dutch as a second language (NT2) for students and staff members at the TU/e.
Tasks
You will be teaching Academic English courses at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD levelYou will be teaching TU/e staff courses at different levelsYou will develop course materials in close cooperation with your colleaguesYou will grade student writing (experience with assessment rubrics is a plus)

Requirements
You have a relevant Master's degreeYou have experience teaching Academic Writing in higher education with affinity for technical and corporate/technical writingYou have experience giving written feedback You have demonstrable educational and communicative skillsYou can work independently as well as in a teamYour command of English is C2 levelYou have affinity with the target groupYou are results oriented, maintain your professional knowledge, and are well organizedYour command of Dutch preferably is at B2 level at a minimum
Conditions of employment
The appointment will initially be for a period of 12 months with a view to a permanent position. The appointment may be carried out by Euflex, which is the internal temporary employment and secondment agency of Eindhoven University of Technology.
The salary for a full-time contract ranges between € 2.588,00 and € 4.084,00 gross per month (salary scale 10 CAO Dutch Universities), based on education and experience. The TU/e offers a broad package of fringe benefits, for instance a year-end bonus of 8.3%, holiday allowance of 8% and excellent sport facilities.
