The Healthcare governance group
The health care governance group studies the new roles, position and identities of practitioners, patients and regulators, and how they interact and steer healthcare. Through projects as well as strategic partnerships the group engages with practitioners and regulators to understand governance ‘from within’. The group is specialized in ethnographic and discursive research methods. The leading researchers – Roland Bal, Antoinette de Bont, Pauline Meurs, Kim Putters – all have extensive networks in healthcare practice and in academia, both nationally and internationally. In addition, strategic partnerships with the Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate (with a leading role for Ian Leistikow), the National Health Care Institute (through Diana Delnoij) and the Association of directors in healthcare (Richard Janssen) give the group a strong footing in Dutch healthcare practice.
