The PhD student will engage in the development and assessment of novel bioprinting strategy and assessment of bioprinted constructs as a 3D in vitro thyroid model. The candidates will have a proven outstanding record to be part of an exceptionally skilled team that is being assembled thanks to recent EU funding secured by the department.
Research at CTR is driven by technology development for the fabrication of biological constructs. The technological bases at the department for the fabrication of such constructs are:
Candidates should have a M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering or biology, with already proven experience in bioprinting technologies and characterization of biofabricated constructs. Excellent and proven knowledge of scientific English both in speaking, reading, and writing is required
Fixed-term contract: 4 years.

Your salary would be € 2.266,- gross per month in the first year up to € 2.897,- gross per month in the fourth year according to the PhD-student salary scale.

Potential applications of such constructs are in stem cell research, developmental biology, cancer research, pharmaceutical or toxicological screening, tissue regeneration, and bioartificial organs.
