Job description

People are the heart and soul of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). We are known internationally for our excellence and expertise in basic science & technology disciplines.

TU/e is facing a big challenge to attract scientific talent from all over the world by creating opportunities for excellence and outstanding facilities. Therefore, we will establish a temporary (2 year) dedicated Talent Acquisition Team to take the lead in the recruitment process in close cooperation with stakeholders in our Departments, the HR Department and external parties. In the second year, the added value and performance of the team will be evaluated. In case of a positive evaluation, the team may become permanent.

Tasks

You are a pioneer and experienced recruiter. Together with our academic staff and HR advisors, you determine the profile and vacancy text. You will actively search qualified academic candidates on a global scale for assistant, associate and full professor positions. You know how to use job marketing.  You are involved in pre-selection and will interview candidates. In the meantime, you will supervise the logistics and keep academic staff involved and committed. If necessary, you will cooperate with external parties.

Our organization

TU/e has the ambition to be among the leading universities in science & technology. The coming years, we will strengthen our foundations in basic research, invest in individual research talent and develop leadership in the cross-disciplinary research themes Smart materials & processes, Complex high tech systems, Bioengineering Health, Renewable energy, Human-centered systems and environments and Data-driven intelligent systems. Three challenges are fundamental to our vision for 2030: a sustainable world, the technology revolution and the impact of technology on society. TU/e is a human-centered employer, providing opportunities for talent - in both academic and support staff - for personal development and to engage the challenges of tomorrow together.

The HR Department initiates, advises and supports the TU/e organization and TU/e employees in the full width of the HR field, varying from expert HR advice on individual personnel issues to organizational development. Our priorities, related to TU/e Strategy 2030 are: recruitment, academic leadership, vitality, diversity & inclusion, safety and career development for both academic and support staff.  The HR Department employs a total of 85 colleagues.
