Job description

As a Project Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day project management of international projects, ongoing and new projects. In practice this requires a successful candidate to work on several projects simultaneously. The main duties are management of assigned projects by ensuring they are executed at the highest possible quality level, in compliance with the set framework and the financial constraints. You will manage consortia, arrange meetings and assist in the organization of communication activities. You are able to communicate in a cross cultural environment to maintain an effective communication between the consortium partners and external parties such as CROs assist in developing and maintaining the UCAB network. You are aware of  relevant best practices set by peer groups and organizations. You report directly to the Managing Director of UCAB but you also have to be able to temporarily replace them in case of absence.

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  • holds an academic degree related to Pharmaceutical, Biological and/or Medical Sciences;
  • has experience with biological therapeutics within a commercial environment;
  • has good knowledge of the process and quality standards for the development and production of biotherapeutics;
  • is able to apply these standards under varying circumstances;
  • has experience in working in international project teams;
  • is expected to have affinity with Global Health issues, especially access to affordable medicines in developing countries;
  • is very skilled in communication (both written and oral communication), is fluent in English and preferably also in other languages;
  • has experience in working with financial reporting tools.

Conditions of employment

We offer a temporary position (0.6 - 0.8 FTE) for one year. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience  - ranges between €2,709 and €2,972 (scale 10 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) gross per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8 % and a year-end bonus of 8.3 % per year. We offer a pension scheme, (partly paid) parental leave, collective insurance schemes and flexible employment conditions (multiple choice model).
