The Rijnstate hospital is one of the 27 major training hospitals in the Netherlands that provide highly specialized medical care. These hospitals are working together in the association Cooperating Tertiary Hospitals (STZ). At the Radboudumc, the Department for Health Evidence is an expert centre for research methodology for health sciences. Within the Department of Operating Rooms, the Evidence Based Surgery research group studies the usefulness of surgical techniques.
