You contribute to the school’s objectives by engaging in scholarly activity through teaching and supervision. You will be expected to provide first-class teaching and to coach students in the bachelor program Communication, which covers all aspects of this broad field, like digital marketing communications, branding, internal communications, public relations, customer journeys, and content creation.

You also contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the academic program and modules reflecting the importance of business communication in a leading Business School and preparing our students for the 21st century skills needed. Supervising and coaching students during their studies, their internship and graduation assignment is part of your role.

Assignments from companies are an essential part of the program. We expect (over time) a contribution to the development of internal and external relationships by engaging with the wider research and professional community at HAN and beyond.

• Student focus;
• University Degree (Master) in relevant field, preferably PhD;
• At least 4 years of (international) business work experience in a relevant field;
• Proof of excellent written and oral English language skills - Cambridge Proficiency level C2 or equivalent;
• Good intercultural teamwork skills;
• Team player, proactive and hands-on attitude;
• Expertise in educating young professionals.

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

• An independent and varied job in a dynamic and informal setting;
• Appointment will initially be for one year and will start August 1st, 2022;
• Depending on your experience, the position will be at the level of Lecturer level 1;
• The gross monthly salary for Lecturer 1 a maximum of € 5.026,85 (scale 11 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences);
• The salary is exclusive of 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% annual bonus;
• Besides, the HAN offers good provisions regarding pension, health care, training facilities, mobility and parental leave.
